About Us

Firstly, all South Africans need to join The National Tax Payers Union.  They are the National Body who will assist us in court  and should we loose, they are responsible for the costs involved.

To join you only have to register on their website www. ntu-sa.net and the registration fee per year is only R20.00

Secondly, CORPA wants to help to establish a Rate Payers Association in every town in South Africa.  Please see our RPA Plan for South Africa.

More pressure means quicker response.

Due to a Public meeting that was held at the Primary School in Brits on 8 February 2010 it was decided to start a Tax Payers Association.

The name of the Association will be the Concerned Tax Payers Assocation and it will be refered to as CORPA.

A mandate by the Community  was given to start a formal dispute against  the Madibeng Municipality.

We make it clear that we have NO political agenda.  We as the Community are prepared to serve under the ANC Government of the Republic but we REFUSE to invest any further money into the Madibeng Municipality.  We insist that the National Government help us to get rid of the overpaid, incapable, incompetent, top management of Madibeng Municipality.

Once you have signed your dispute form, you will pay all municipal fees into the CORPA Dispute Account . We ask all residents of Brits and Hartbeespoort to join CORPA and not to pay Madibeng for any services. Take note that once you have declared a dispute with your local municipality, in terms Article 102(2) they can not take any form of action against you.

Please also keep in mind that no court can force you to pay for services not rendered.  It will be a violation of  your basic constitutional human rights.

We will not use your money, we first want to force this municipality to start delivering services. If they dont, we  will ask them  to appoint us as an External Service Provider in terms of Section 76 of the Municipal Systems Act , Act 32 of 2000.  We can then use the money to fix water, sanitation, street lights etc. Should they refuse, we will approach a court to grant us an order to proceed.

We ask everybody to help, especially the Community Members  who were involved with any Municipality in the past.

Your membership number will be CORPA - (with your account number from the municipality)

The Dispute Form is downloadable on our "Legal Documents" Page
